This year, boarding is filling up fast, and our farm has a limited number of memberships. Whether you’re ready to lease a horse or eager to learn the ropes with lessons, our programs can accommodate something for everyone.
Story Horse Farm also offers a unique opportunity to purchase horses from our exceptional stable of equine partners. Each horse is meticulously selected and trained to meet the highest standards of performance and temperament. To ensure a harmonious partnership, Story Horse Farm provides experienced trainers who offer personalized coaching tailored to your skill level and goals.
Beyond the arena, our farm fosters a sense of connection and belonging. From social events and clinics to trail rides and grooming sessions, there are countless opportunities to connect with fellow members, forge lasting friendships, and celebrate the magic of horses.
Horse Riding and Training at Story Horse Farm
We offer new riding lessons, horse training, refresher courses, and clinics for all skill levels. Story Horse Farm provides top-quality horse boarding, training, and riding lessons from beginner to advanced levels. We also have fun summer programs and holiday events. Our friendly staff loves working with horses and riders, whether you’re aiming for competition or just riding for fun.
Programs
We have two full-time trainers with programs designed just for you and your horse. Our programs include hunter, jumper, and dressage shows throughout the year. Students can add more competitions to their schedules if they wish.
Competitions
Whether you’re new to eventing or looking to improve, we offer various competition experiences both on and off the farm. We assist with registration and qualification for state, regional, or national competitions. Our show programs keep riders prepared for competition all year, even during Minnesota winters, with our mini show series in the Indoor Arena. We host four horse trials each year, with opportunities for riders of all skill levels.
Clinics for Everyone
Our clinics are open to all ages, for both members and non-members. They provide a safe and educational environment with detailed instruction. Clinics include lectures, demonstrations, and hands-on practice for different riding phases.

This app has an extensive amount of how-to videos and interactive tools to help you with everything related to your horse’s health, nutrition, medications, hoof and dental care, barn safety, and first aid while standing right next to your horse.
Equilab
Equilab tracks your rides and gives you awesome details like your horse’s speed, intensity, and rhythm. Because it uses GPS instead of cell coverage, you’re less likely to lose coverage.
HorseRider SOS
If you stop moving for a predetermined amount of time, like if you’re unconscious or unable to move, the app moves into alert mode (which you can override manually to avoid false alarms) and will automatically alert your emergency contacts with your exact location.
